Currently, Uttarakhand is facing the fury of the natural calamities due to heavy rain, cloud burst & flood situations which have caused loss of lots of innocent lives & property in both Kedarnath & Badrinath valleys. Though our Bhotia people in the Niti and Mana valley are safe but it has come to know that properties (home & shops) of two families (Badwals & Chauhans) at Agastmuni (in Rudra Prayag district) have been washed away in the flood.

Road between Badrinath and Joshimath is damaged in many places due to heavy rain and flood. It has come to know that bridge connecting Buras (Malari) and Kailashpur by road is washed away. Also the bridge at Bhaapkund has been damaged by the river. The damages to the roads and bridges will create lots of problems for the people still staying in the villages (Niti, Mana, Gamshali, Bampa, Malari etc) in the Niti and Mana valleys. Heavy rain is expected in Uttarakhand over the next three days.

Due to the bad weather condition and worst road conditions, the proposed SWAD free medical camp (21-23 June 2013) at Paing, Tolma & other villages of Rongpa community was postponed.
